Pennywise does not take CLOTHING consignments in February and August. However, the store IS open as usual.

POLICY FOR HANDLING CONSIGNMENT MERCHANDISE:
In leaving articles to be sold by the Pennywise Thrift Shop, I agree to the following conditions:
1. Pennywise Thrift Shop will receive 50% of the sale of the merchandise and the customer (consignor) 50%.
2. Pennywise will not be held responsible for the loss from fire, theft, or any other casualty in the event of damage to articles left for sale. Only merchandise that is Seasonal, Cleaned, Laundered, In Style and Good Condition will be accepted for sale in consignment. September through January - Fall and Winter clothes. March through July - Spring and Summer clothes.
3. Christmas items will be accepted from November 1st until December 1st. Halloween items will be accepted the first two weeks of October. They will be pulled November 1st.
4. Articles must be worth a minimum of $3.00.
5. You may bring in a total of 15 articles once a week to be placed on consignment. Only 10 can be clothing items and the other 5 items can be household items. Electrical appliances and various other items cannot be consigned (see posted list.) We will accept only 4 items of one kind, for example, 4 shirts, 4 pants, etc.
6. Articles remain on consignment for 30 days. Items priced $5.00 or more can be reclaimed by the customer at the end of 30 days, without notification, or the items become the property of Pennywise Thrift Shop. We will not pull or hold merchandise for a customer. You must come in during the regular consignment hours to pick up items to be taken and written off the contract. The contract should be presented when articles are picked up by the customer.
7. No item may be re-consigned on the date it is pulled. If the customer wants to re-consign the item, it must be at half the price.
8. If articles are found to be unsuitable for consignment, after the customer has left the shop and on more careful inspection of the articles before tagging, Pennywise reserves the right to refuse them, and the articles automatically become the property of the shop.
9. The Pennywise consignment fee is $5.00 per year.
10. Payment for consignment items sold will be mailed to the customer at the beginning of the month after the 30-day consignment period. All Pennywise checks not cashed within 90 days of the date on the check will be void.
11. Customers requesting information pertaining to their account should telephone or come to The Pennywise Thrift Shop during consignment hours. A customer is not allowed to look in the consignment contract book.
